Checklist for Submitting a Petition
- Print and complete petition. On petition, please include a one or two sentence statement explaining why you are petitioning.
- Attach a typed letter documenting your request along with any other supporting documents.
- Student must attach a copy of your complete academic transcript. (May be unofficial).
- Meet with academic advisor to review and sign petition.
- The student must present petition to the chair of college committee. This must be done by the 15th of the month. (For a list of the college chairs, please refer to the committee membership page.)
- College committee chair should submit at least ten copies of each petition and supporting documents to the Registrar for review by the Friday prior to the meeting.
- Students petitioning to waive graduation requirements must submit a graduation checklist.
- Student should attend the meeting.
Students seeking first–time admission to the university should contact the Office of Admissions.
